Putting Safety First

At New Century FS we know safety pays off in more ways than one. That's why we follow our Safety Committee Mission Statement:

"The New Century FS Safety Committee will implement safety awareness for our employees, patrons, and the general public for their protection. We will follow all environmental, state, and federal regulations to ensure a profitable and safe company."

Our Safety Committee includes 13 employees from different locations and departments within the company. We meet monthly to cover employee training, location inspections, and accident investigations. We also award safety incentives.

We have 35 employees who have completed the GROWMARK HAZWOPER 8-hour First Responder Operations Level training course. in order to stay certified they must complete an annual refresher training program to maintain this HASWOPER certificate.
We have weekly tool box safety meetings at all locations; at these meetings they take 15 minutes to talk about different topics supplied by GROWMARK's Safety Alert site.
We also have employees trained in a 10-hour course that covers OSHA standards
As a full-line supplier of products, we conduct safety training at least once a year on anhydrous ammonia, gasoline, fuel oils, bloodborne pathogens, and confined spaces. We also cover other safety topics throughout the year.
