Each year more customers sign up for the even-pay LP program offered through New Century FS. This is a good way to budget for your heating needs, and it becomes especially important with the high energy costs. The program starts June 1, and you’ll make 11 equal payments through April the following year. Your energy price is locked in throughout the season. If you’re an existing New Century FS customer, we’ll look at your LP usage in the past year to estimate how many LP gallons you may need for the upcoming winter heating season. If you’re a new customer, we’ll help you estimate the figure based on a variety of factors. At the end of April when you receive your billing statement, New Century FS will note how many LP gallons you actually used during the previous winter heating season. You may get a credit, or you’ll make up the amount over the estimated amount. Contact your local New Century FS energy specialist to learn more. Replace old regulators If you have a propane tank, it’s very important to replace your regulator when it becomes outdated. If you regulator is dated 1992 or older, it’s time to upgrade. As part of our commitment to propane safety, our sales professionals have contacted all New Century FS customers with outdated regulators. If you’ve lost that information, we’ll be reminding you soon. Why worry about it? Older regulators may not control the propane gas pressure correctly, meaning your appliances may not work properly and could be damaged. An outdated regulator can lead to other serious problems, as well. When we replace an outdated regulator, we also conduct a system leak check. This service is included in the price of the regulator.
